Have you ever felt that during your relaxed gaming session that you
have been up against players that can perform and have amazing skills?
Are you a player that feel and sees things in a gaming session that
you never fully understood what happened or how it was done to achieve
such good skills?
Have you just accepted without question that your a little below
average when it comes to your ability telling yourself if I knuckle
down and practice I might be able to improve? But after trying many
techniques and many sessions to improve upon your current skills some
players just seem to be that much better?
There are many reasons why a player is awesome at what they do
within a game and for that reason would be just too complicated to
explain. Much of the skills and ability comes from years of gaming
along with a excellent working knowledge of game environment ,terrain,
player habits, weapon selection plus the ability to read in game data
as it unfolds and then store that in your memory to recall that
information at a later date.
Gaming for some players is taken seriously while others game just
to relax so they don't bother with all the finer details of game play.
Having said that this will explain many skills a player will gain over
a gamer that just sits back and relaxes while getting there butt handed
too them.
Another area that many forget to look at when thinking about the
skill level that a player displays is the gamers hardware they have
purchased. A player with the latest and greatest will without a doubt
have an advantage over those less likely to spend time and money on new
upgrades. But this isn't always the case because some gamers can do
very well with less than up to date machines.
Many gamers spend hours tweaking there machines too gain every
performance drop they can while others just load a game and prey it
works with what they have. Tweaking your machine and ensuring that it's
clean from bloat ware, spyware and virus so a game will run at peek
performance for some is an on going task.
Then some gamers have skills because they have no ethics or
sportsmanship towards others using any means they can to be better or
gain an advantage. These gamers are not cheating but they sure stagger
to the grey areas.
To give you one example of what I call grey areas......
While some may argue that this is open for anyone to do and I have
too agree but for me it comes down to what is fair play against my
opponents. It all comes down to what is called fair and just. Was it
the intention of the game makers too see such exploits or was it placed
there to make the correct adjustments to each individuals hardware and
without a doubt it's the latter.
During the making of the game they included a key and if it was
depressed it would turn on Night Vision. Night Vision buy it's nature
is a tool that allows you to gain a view of your surroundings in dark
or dimly lit areas. Nothing wrong with that because we all have that
key to activate Night Vision. Many will use that Key to turn on Night
Vision during lighted conditions to gain a better view or maybe pick up
something that would normally go missed because of the green glow. Grey
area yes! But everyone has the ability to do that and I'm sure the
makers didn't intend for it to be used during well lit areas.
There is also a gamma setting in the options of the game which once
again everyone has so nothing to worry about there. This is the grey
area I was leading too because many gamers turn there gamma up to a
point that they don't have to push that supplied Night Vision key to
see that dimly lit or darker spots of the terrain/environment.
Gamma settings weren't placed in the game so you could save using
your finger pressing that supplied Night Vision key. Is it fair that
one player can see while another player has to take time out too press
the Night Vision key too see then press again to turn off? In the mean
time this player just got killed due to the extra key work needed
during a stressing firefight but the player with his gamma turned up so
high to avoid that key press moves on to the next victim.
Is this in the spirit of gaming and fair to those players that don't
use such exploits but after all is said and done anyone can do it so do
you play fairly or do exploit such grey areas?
Then there are the gamers that leave the gamma setting of the game
at install default but then run too there "display properties" and
change the gamma in the "colour correction" settings. Brag there game
settings are vanilla and wouldn't do such a thing while still achieving
the same results using the "Display Properties".
There are many in game settings that were placed there by the
developers to make adjustments but did they intend for them too be
exploited? There are also many other grey areas but I just wanted to
pick some as an example to high lite why some players have the edge or
advantage over others
Screenshots of Cheats, Hacks, Exploits and Grey areas
In this next segment I'm going to show to those players why and how
they were cheated on or had grey areas used against them. While many
gamers have the skills to do well within a game many resort to the
devil to gain what they are lacking. Many gamers do it for kicks and
upset a game server while most do it because they never thought about
playing and winning fairly.
Many do it because they can and think they won't get caught or be
spotted but to a trained eye and someone that knows what there looking
for/at will see allot of it during gaming on a daily bases.
So I dedicate the following to educate the player who doesn't
understand how they were taken advantage of or don't know what too look
for.
CommandMap Overlays
Since the game was released gamers have been asking for CommandMap
Overlays to be made by the developers but falling on deaf ears. It was
then up too the modding community to produce a system that would be
accepted into main stream gaming for all too use.
Such a system was developed but Ladders altered there rules to
allow versions of the originals to be used within the Ladder confines.
Outside of the Ladder these heavily modified Overlays should be
removed and the public accepted ones re-installed. So in this segment
I'm going to show why players will know from spawn were to go or best
route to gain an advantage because of what is being displayed.
Original CommandMaps
Original CommandMaps as seen in the image below has no markings or
identifying information other than a grid system and player marker
indicating squad member and heading.
Modified CommandMaps Accepted by the GR Community
Modified CommandMaps Overlays as seen in the below image has had
numbers & letters added to the outer edge of the map. This was done
so that during gaming players could give reference to visual threats or
give precise location to move squad members removing any miss
understanding. These CommandMaps Grid Overlays are the only ones that
have been accepted for both Ladder/Tourney games by the community and
there servers or those privately hosted servers.
Simple Modified CommandMaps
Simple modified CommandMaps Overlays as seen in the below image has
the numbers and letters added to the outer edge of the map. As a
further modification a simple colour code has been added to indicate
where each team colour spawns are. This is mainly used for TvT/PvP
games restricted too ladders where there rules allow such visual or
private servers.
Advanced Modified CommandMaps
Advanced Modified CommandMaps Overlays as seen in the below image
are more elaborate giving more detail to the player while gaming. They
offer a more high lighted letter/number system along with a grids that
stands out allot more.
Detailed Modified CommandMaps
The mother of all CommandMap Overlays and the most detailed shows
again the letter/numbers around the map edge with the 4 individual team
colour spawn locations. As an added bonus these CommandMaps show in
detail .......TO BE COMPLETED
Players that enter a public server must remove these enhanced
CommandMaps to ensure fair play too players who have no involvement in
Ladder Rules or install the modified CommandMaps accepted by the
community for public gaming.
Ghost Recon Game Cheats
The below images are a collection of screenshots that will show
many of the cheats the community has to deal with during there time of
play. These images will first show a "BEFORE Activated cheat screenshot" followed by a "AFTER Activated screenshot" and many of the images are self explanatory hence no text to explain what it is your looking at.
Bright Skins
Green Glowing Skins
Acid Green Skins
Acid Green Glowing Skins
Glowing Chamelean Skins
Chamelean Skins hack allows a player to see all players through solid
objects and to distinguish between an object that is visible or an
object that is not visible by changing colour. A red player means that
the player is not in the line of sight to the player using the hack but
the moment it changes to being green it then indicates that part of the
body is capable of being shot at.
Acid Chamelean Skins
Acid Glowing Chamelean Skins
XQZ Wall hack
No Fog
ASUS Wall Hack
This hack makes your maps look transparent leaving players to stand out due to there retained solid form.
Wireframe
The Wireframe Hack removes all the textured model faces that have
been stencilled with a picture leaving triangles/polygons build-ups of
computer generated model. This allows you to see through all the solid
objects leaving a visual of players and there location on any given
map.
Full Screen Zoom
This is a little different to "Full Screen Night Vision" in that it
retains the grainy look of the default NV and only removes the
blackened out edge from your screen to give you unrestricted view.
Normal Bullet Spread
The below image shows the default bullet spread from a clean install of Ghost Recon in a stationary stance.
Fast Accuracy
In the below image you will see just how tightly grouped the rounds are also making it very easy to spot.
Full Accuracy
See Retlock for explanation.
Running Accuracy
See Combat Aim for explanation.
Retlock
Retlock as you can see by the below image that this cheat has no
bullet spread and when activated fires the bullets in what we call a
rod. The bullets follow each other and hit the object as if just a
single round was fired
Infinite Ammo
This hack you have the ability to choose if you want all weapons to have infinite ammo or you can select individual items.
Combat Aim
Combat Aim is a form of Retlock that allows the rets to spread as
it would normally but it locks the rets at approximately 1/3 of the
outward spread of the weapon while running. Bullet spread is present
but it's a smaller pattern compare to default bullet spread of a clean
install. It's harder to spot but if you test the same map and duplicate
the distances using the same weapon then make comparable replays this
can be exposed.
Range
Range takes the same concept and applies it too your reticule to
what you see when your binoculars are raised indicating distance to
target.
Names
Names is like having your IFF Mode set in your Game Play options to
"NAMES", but when activated it allows for the opposite team to all have
there names displayed on the screen. This gives you an advantage to
when/where you will encounter a threat or there movement.
Full Bright
The below image shows a texture hack that takes away the need for
night vision plus objects stand out allot more also giving you a full
unrestricted view.
Third Person View
The image below shows how a player can leave there FPS body view
then having the ability look around and over objects while remaining
hidden from threats.
Ghost View
The image below gives a good example of just what this hack is capable
of doing but more advanced than the "Third Person View" hack. With this
hack your able to travel around any map at any given height along with
the ability to pass through wire frame textures.
Tip Toe
As seen in the below images Tip Toe gives a player the ability to
look over objects and fire there weapon that would normal be impossible
for a clean player to achieve.
Invisible Peek
In the below images and looking at the inserts you will see a
standard peek which both players are able to see and shoot there foe.
The second image shows a player using the Glitch to view the player but
the approaching player has no view due to the Invisible Peek Glitch
being implemented therefore not knowing the danger now present.
Material Ret
This is an advanced version of the "Range" hack with the added
ability to show limbs light up in the reticule informing you where the
bullet will strike.
Wall Glitch
The below image shows a player Wall Glitching but if you look at
the insert image in the bottom left from the players position this
should be impossible to have visual that is displayed in the main
screenshot due to it being a solid object. This Glitch is easy to spot
just by looking at the CommandMap or viewing a player preforming such
exploits. Added to that the direction the player is facing can shot and
kill but are hidden from return fire/view.
Again in this image the player has Wall Glitched a solid object but
unlike the above screenshot the player can shoot and kill while also
taking fire making yourself vulnerable. Should you take fire the player
taking advantage of the in game flaw can retreat back into the safety
of the building.
Many maps in Ghost Recon will allow you to gain entry to solid
objects exploiting game flaws and the result is being able to view 360
degrees as if your behind glass. You can still be shot and for the
player shooting at you the image they see is normal. Should you move
from a door way/window out of view from the player shooting they would
loose view but you still have the ability to still see/shoot them like
as seen in the below image.
Water Glitch
In the first two images below it shows a natural look of a player
before walking into any water with full florescent glow and the second
image shows that a player has crouched in water taking some of the
florescent glow away from the lower half of the body. Doing this allows
for a little more concealment while moving around a night map.
This image shows that a player has used a combination of key
presses that was never intended to be in the game but found after game
release to produce another body movement. This exploit and flaw in the
game allowing for the entire body to be submerged below the water line
resulting in a complete darkened body.
Full Screen Night Vision
Original Night Vision Un-Zoomed/Zoom as seen in the below images
has an ellipse view with a blackened outer edge. It also has a grainy
look which blurs the visual view and because of the blackened outer
edge your field of view is restricted.
Full Screen Night Vision as seen in the below images doesn't have
the blackened outer edge. Your view has increased and the grainy look
has been heavily reduced plus your field of view is no longer
restricted.
Boundary Glitch
Looking at the below image and the Command Map the player has
Boundary Glitched passing through map barriers. Players that preform
this do it in the early stages of each game before anyone loses all
there life's and is able to be in there back pack as observer catching
them out.
Crater Glitch
Incline Glitch
Laying prone on an incline is something players would call natural
cover so too seek such cover is only natural by most players. Players
not educated in this game problem called collision detection between
two different angled surfaces meeting are abused for doing it. The
players that are educated and deliberately exploit this flaw to there
advantage know what they are doing and continue to use this method of
observing and killing players knowing all along there in the Glitch.
The image clearly shows the player is prone on an incline exploiting
the Glitch but had the player chosen the standing/crouched stance then
that would negate such flaws. The prone player exploiting the Glitch
cane fire freely making a kill knowing they are safe from return fire.
This Incline Glitch is present though out all maps in Ghost Recon while
in the prone stance.
Freeze Trees
Freeze Trees hack is just what it says allowing for all foliage
that would normally sway in the breeze remain stationary. Having
Stationary trees/shrubs and grass make a player moving through it stand
out more because there movement is now emphasised
Speed Hack
In the below image you will see the speed hack in action during the
start of game play. As you can see by the CommandMap all players have
spawned into the game and are in a group. Within seconds of the play
starting a player using the speed hack has left the spawn and travelled
to his current location indicated by the insert image in the middle. He
has been able to travel that distance before his team players are able
orientate them self out and move far.
Levitation
